A Visit with Mrs. G

Mrs. G—Kitty Anna Griffiths, of Toronto, Canada, is a mother of three children, grandmother of 11 grandchildren, and (so far) great-grandmother of 21 great-grandchildren. She is loved worldwide for her warm, captivating style. She has received mail from 188 countries. She is A British high-school teacher turned storyteller, and she has served with her pastor husband, Gerald, in churches in Britain, South Africa, and Canada, and has told stories to children in many countries.

Biola University in California conferred the degree of Doctor of Literature on Mrs. G in recognition of her fidelity to Scripture and of her concern for the underprivileged, when her leadership in South Africa in a mission hospital provided an out-patient soup kitchen, and erected and equipped a children’s wing for babies and children.

About The Bible Stories she tells are broadcast in English on hundreds of weekly releases in North America and worldwide by shortwave, satellite and internet. They have also been translated into Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Mandarin, Rumanian, Norwegian, Farsi, Khmer, Nepali, Amharic, and Russian.

Mrs. G believes that “all scripture is inspired by God”.  So she studies the text to make sure her stories bring out the accurate intended meaning of the scripture.  As part of her research, she has visited Israel six times, three times as a guest of the government of Israel.

The stories are for children of all ages—3 to 103!  The Bible stories combine accuracy with modern appeal. Mrs. G has made the Bible come alive for thousands of children—and adults—at home, in church, in schools, camps, cars, hospitals, in all kinds of places.  They are entertaining, educational, and full of spiritual instruction.  Bible Stories Alive are “you are there” stories. Things of long ago come alive and you feel a part of the drama. One little girl says, “I feel I am with Jesus,” and a medical doctor says, “You make the Bible people become family”.
