If you are looking for an Easter service to attend this Sunday the 21st, here are 4 services! Join Calvary Chapel of Oxnard on Resurrection Sunday for praise and worship, and to honor Our God.
On a personal note, might I recommend a sunrise service? If you have never been, you have time to plan ahead now. For me, sunrise service has been a way to celebrate the resurrection of My Lord ever since I first got saved, and my kids were babies. They have grown up under this and it has become a wonderful family tradition…no need to get dressed up, just grab some blankets and some beach chairs, and a pot of hot coffee and a pot of hot chocolate for the kids, and head on out to the beach. My children grew up looking forward to this holiday every year, and not for the candy and easter egg hunts…it’s a wonderful tradition that I’m glad I started. (Or did “I” start it? Really The Lord did I guess…) Anyway, it’s just a suggestion. I would love to see you and your family out there at the beach. If you need any information, call the church at 805-485-0111 …or just message me back on this page, or on Calvary’s page https://www.facebook.com/calvaryoxnard.
Keep Worshipping, and STAY BLESSED!
ALSO, if you are another Christian church locally that would like to add your services to our page, please do, we welcome all our brothers and sisters here and worship with you.
If you were not able to catch the GOOD FRIDAY service, you can watch it now, and you will be all caught up on Easter Sunday. 🙂
If you aren't quite sure where it's located, here is a map for you.
HERE is the map to the beach service, in case you need that also…

“Day Of Mourning”
Today, in Oxnard California, near the beach, hundreds of believers from all denominations gathered together, all dressed in black, to pray for the lives of the unborn and their right to see the light of birth. It was a moving and emotional day for all.
Jerry Cesario is the Senior Pastor of The Anchor: Calvary Chapel San Pedro, located in the historic Port of Los Angeles region. Starting with a Bible study in 2014, the church grew quickly and has maintained a strong emphasis on the transforming power of the Word of God to grow the church and the people. The teaching ministry seeks to extend the Bible outside the church walls and into the nations. Pastor Jerry teaches book-by-book, chapter-by-chapter, and verse-by-verse, in an easy to understand format, following the pattern set in Nehemiah 8:8, “So they read distinctly from the book, in the Law of God; and they gave the sense, and helped them to understand the reading”. You can find several teachings on iTunes, Podcast Republic, and SoundCloud. More info about the church can be found at calvarysp.org and on Facebook.
Jerry Cesario and Anchored Radio can be heard on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, even the schedule just has him listed on weekends. This is the only broadcast with a “long weekend” schedule that includes Fridays, and all the rest are on the schedule as “weekdays” …so it wasn’t possible to write it on the schedule that way, but you CAN hear him on Fridays as well! Thanks for understanding.
The broadcast schedule has been changed, and is now posted on the website to reflect the actual broadcast. We have some new bible teachers for whom we don’t yet have ministry information on, so the link may go to an ‘almost’ empty page, but we will get it very soon. To view the new schedule, just click BROADCAST SCHEDULE on the menu bar above.
Colossians 3: 1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.
This world will fight till its dying breath to own your thoughts, affections and aspirations. It’s not mindful of eternal glory nor cares anything for heaven’s rewards but God offers better.
Paul says with intensity, “seek” and “set” your heart and mind on that which is to come not on this world. By doing so we live above the cares and concerns of this life by dwelling on “Things Above”.

Pastor John Durante spent years of his life looking for meaningful purpose worth living for. Having sought fulfillment thru a self-oriented lifestyle of surfing, snowboarding and skateboarding he turned back to God out of frustration and there found peace and purpose. Finally after Bible College, various serving roles at churches in CA, HI and AZ, in December 2007, Pastor John and his wife Christina met with 7 people in their living room right here in Point Pleasant Beach. Today those 7 people represent the humble beginnings of Jersey Shore Calvary Chapel.

“A Celebration Of Life”
Koinonia House Announces Death of Founder
Reporoa, NZ — Koinonia House announces the death of its Founder and retired Board Chairman, Dr. Charles W. “Chuck” Missler. He was 83 years old, and passed away peacefully at his home in Reporoa, New Zealand. He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy and his two sons, Charles “Chip” and Mark. He is survived by two daughters, Lisa Bright and Meshell Missler, and eight grandchildren.
Two Careers in One Lifetime
Dr. Missler was fond of saying that he enjoyed two careers following his graduation from the United States Naval Academy and service in the armed forces: leading edge technology ventures and biblical studies. Truly, the passion of his life was encouraging of others to commit to the serious study of the Bible as the inerrant Word of God.
Biblical Studies and Koinonia House
Dr. Missler gained international recognition as a Bible scholar, author and teacher. Through an informal affiliation with Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa, California, Chuck became known for his insight into the integration of Scripture with science, history and prophecy. Over more than forty years, literally millions of Dr. Missler’s teachings have been distributed and enjoyed. From cassette tapes to MP3 audio down loads, from VCR tapes to YouTube videos, the message of “The Grand Adventure” has been enjoyed by many.
American Technology Ventures
During his thirty year business career, Chuck served on the Board of Directors of over a dozen public companies, and was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of five of them. Dr. Missler received a Congressional appointment to the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. Upon graduating with honors, he received his commission in the U.S. Air Force. When he had completed his military obligations, he became Branch Chief of the Department of Guided Missiles at Lowry Air Force Base.
Chuck completed a Masters Degree in engineering at UCLA with additional post-graduate studies in applied mathematics, advanced statistics, and information sciences; he completed his PhD at Louisiana Baptist University. His civilian career began as a systems engineer at TRW, followed by a Senior Analyst position in a “think tank” serving both the intelligence community and the Department of Defense.
Recruited by the Ford Motor Company into a Senior Management position, Chuck established the first international industrial computer network in 1966. Leaving Ford to start his own company, he founded a computer networking organization later acquired by Automatic Data Processing (NYSE) to become its Network Services Division. He subsequently served as a consultant to the Board of Directors of Rockwell International for corporate acquisitions (which included Collins Radio, American Data Systems, and others); and has also participated in over 100 business ventures as a principal, strategic advisor, or turnaround specialist.
His final consultancy in the American technology sector was as an advisor to the Super-Wide Area Satellite (SWANsat) System, an international telecommunications venture.
After being a lifelong citizen of the United States, Dr. Missler immigrated to New Zealand in 2010 where he resided with his wife Nancy.
A celebration of life service will be held June 2, 2018, at 2pm at Candlelight Christian Fellowship, located at 5725 N. Pioneer Dr., Coeur d Alene, Idaho 83815,
and on the web at https://candlelight.org.
A funeral/burial service will be held on 16 June, 2018 at the River Lodge, 394 Vaile Road, Reporoa, New Zealand at 1pm.
I should have done this post a long time ago, but sometimes I just get busy. I apologize for forgetting something so important to our listeners!
If you live in the area, you may want to know where you can WORSHIP Our Lord on this very important holiday that we all celebrate. If you need to know where to come celebrate with your brothers and sisters, and don’t have somewhere already lined up, you can :
(1) Go at dawn, and REALLY celebrate the Empty Tomb, to the Easter Sunrise Service at Mandalay Beach. The service starts at 6:30AM, and you can come in your jeans, your pajamas, or whatever makes you feel comfortable. Bring the kids, your coffee, beach chair, warm shoes and blanket to cuddle up and stay warm, and come celebrate the DAWNING of Easter Sunday. AND/OR… you can go to services later at Calvary Chapel of Oxnard. Easter services are at the regular time at 8AM, 9:30AM, and 11:15AM. Here are some maps for you so you don’t get lost if you haven’t been there before.
I know for me, it’s a family tradition, Easter Sunrise services. My kids are now in the 30’s (the oldest ones) …and I started taking them when they were about 5. We used to live in Riverside, and there is a small mountain in the center of town. The boy scouts used to light the trail to the top starting around 3AM, and 1/2 the town hiked it while it was still dark. It was a wonderful way to celebrate the resurrection, and to teach my children, and to also start a family tradition that I hope gets passed on. To me, it is the most important holiday of the year. So I pray your resurrection Sunday will also be a great blessing.
OK, here’s the maps:
The one little square is the parking lot you will want to park in, and the bigger square is the area on the beach where the services are typically held. (provided they use the same location they have always used) …of course if I’m wrong, I’m close…just follow the crowd. 🙂
Basically, just take Wooley, or Channel Islands straight out to Harbor, or if you are coming from Ventura, take Harbor Blvd all the way down till you get to Mandalay Beach Road, turn in and take that street straight out to the parking lot! See you there!
I just really wanted to share this video with you. This young man really inspired me. I haven’t seen youth bold enough for Jesus to openly worship without regard for consequence since I don’t know when. …sometime in the 80’s or 90’s at least. Good for him. What happened to the world where all born again Christians openly showed their love for their love like this young man? I’d like to see it return myself, if it’s possible.
I apologize for the poor video quality. All I had to grab this video was my cell phone. 🙁 By the way, if you know who this talented young man is, please write in tell me so he can get credit for his beautiful voice and music.
“The Dwelling Place”
Al was born in Panama City, Florida in 1955. His father was a career soldier, so the family traveled extensively. In 1973, when Al was seventeen years old, the family returned from a tour in Germany and settled in Colorado Springs. Soon after, Al realized God’s call on his life and began serving in the music ministry as a bass guitarist with a Christian band called, “The Rays of Light.” It was during this time that Al met Norma, and they were married on July 19, 1975.
Al attended Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs, graduating in 1977 with a degree in Biblical Studies. Several years later he visited Calvary Chapel, which had opened across the street from where he worked. After attending one service, he was hooked, rejoicing to be taught the Word of God. He couldn’t get enough, and became involved in the worship band at Calvary Chapel, as well as performing with a local contemporary Christian band. In 1980, the Lord granted Al the privilege of becoming a full-time staff member with Calvary Chapel of Colorado Springs, where he conducted Friday evening outreach concerts along with other pastoral duties assigned to him. In 1991 Al and his family moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, and two years later he joined the staff of Calvary Chapel Albuquerque as an assistant pastor and co-worship leader.
In the spring of 1997 the Lord called Al and his family back to Colorado Springs to pastor Calvary Worship Center. Although this was a difficult decision, they knew the Lord was leading them and they have seen and experienced God’s awesome faithfulness since returning to Colorado Springs, where the fellowship has grown along with their faith. In 2006, Al earned his Master’s degree and in 2012 he earned his Doctorate degree in Ministry from Trinity Southwest University in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Al and Norma are the proud parents of three children, Renee, Nathan and Reggie, as well as proud grandparents. They covet your prayers for their family and ministry as they endeavor to live a life pleasing to the Father. To God be the glory for all He has done and all He will do!
“Study The Word”
Thom began teaching an inner-city Bible study in 1995. That love of teaching God’s word eventually led to the formation of Calvary Chapel Lebanon in October, 2001, with about 50 people meeting in an old hardware store. Our church ministry and philosophy centers on teaching God’s word chapter by chapter, verse by verse.
In June of 2009, Calvary Chapel Lebanon took over an existing low-power FM radio station in Lebanon and changed the programming to a Bible teaching format. Since that time we have been shocked at the number of listeners and positive comments – and have been thrilled at the knowledge that people’s lives are being changed as a result of hearing God’s word on the radio. “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God”.
Thom and his wife, Sue, live near Schaefferstown. Thom enjoys playing soccer and Thom and Sue together enjoy snow skiing, mountain biking and motorcycle rides. Ted, pictured above is Sue’s brother who has lived with Thom and Sue since 2001.
Although they have no natural children, they call their loved ones at Calvary Chapel family.
“It has been an absolute joy to see the changes God is bringing about in the lives of individuals, marriages and families at Calvary Chapel. God’s word does not return void!”
“Real Living Today”
Dr. Bob is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary (Th.M., 1975; D.Min., 1986). After 40 years of pastoral ministry, he retired on June 30, 2012. He continues his commitment to Expository Preaching—clearly and accurately presenting God’s Word to impact the lives of people through a new ministry called “Real Living Today.” He and his wife, Sandy, were married August 17, 1971 and have two grown daughters who are serving the Lord.
His oldest daughter, Angie, is married to David Torres. David is the GAV Radio Producer at Grace to You in Southern California. They are both graduates of The Master’s College. David has a M.Div. from The Master’s Seminary and is currently studying for his Th.M. (Master of Theology). They have seven children—Isaiah, Emilia, Micah, Eva, Isabella, Elizabeth, and Jeremiah.
His youngest daughter, Kim, is married to Andrew Callaway. They are both graduates of The Master’s Collegeand Andrew is a graduate of The Master’s Seminary. Andrew is the Associate Pastor at Hickman Community Church in Hickman, California (Modesto area). They have three children—Sadie Jane, Andrew, and Emma Lynn.

“Abounding In Grace”
I hope to encourage, uplift, and stir up love and good works in your life. It is my greatest desire to help draw your eyes back to the One who loves you and is working out all things for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. I am currently serving Jesus as the Pastor of Calvary Chapel Aurora located in Aurora, Colorado. I can’t even begin to share the joy I have in serving Him. It’s clear to see how God’s grace is amazingly abundant in our lives.
I’ve been married to Marie for 28 years and serving Jesus 26 of those years. We have three children Joshua, Caitlin, and our eldest son, Eddie, who went home to be with Jesus on May 27, 2013, after enduring 23 days in a coma brought on by a sudden cardiac arrest. He, his voice, and his influence are so desperately missed. He left behind our precious grandson, Levi, which we now wait patiently on the Lord to reunite us to him.
“The Balanced Word”
Dave has been married to Anne for over 30 years and they have two grown sons, William (who is married to Brittany) and Danny (who is married to Lauren.) In addition to this, Dave has two grandchildren (Sadie and Brandon). Dave loves teaching the word of God, riding his Harley, and watching mixed martial arts.
