Jerry Cesario:

“Anchored Radio”

Jerry Cesario is the Senior Pastor of The Anchor: Calvary Chapel San Pedro, located in the historic Port of Los Angeles region. Starting with a Bible study in 2014, the church grew quickly and has maintained a strong emphasis on the transforming power of the Word of God to grow the church and the people. The teaching ministry seeks to extend the Bible outside the church walls and into the nations. Pastor Jerry teaches book-by-book, chapter-by-chapter, and verse-by-verse, in an easy to understand format, following the pattern set in Nehemiah 8:8, So they read distinctly from the book, in the Law of God; and they gave the sense, and helped them to understand the reading”. You can find several teachings on iTunes, Podcast Republic, and SoundCloud. More info about the church can be found at calvarysp.org and on Facebook.

Jerry Cesario and Anchored Radio can be heard on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, even the schedule just has him listed on weekends. This is the only broadcast with a “long weekend” schedule that includes Fridays, and all the rest are on the schedule as “weekdays” …so it wasn’t possible to write it on the schedule that way, but you CAN hear him on Fridays as well! Thanks for understanding.

Chuck Missler:“66/40”

Chuck Missler:

Chuck Missler:

“66/40”

Chuck was raised in Southern California by foreign-born parents who instilled an early love for the Scripture. He committed his life to Jesus Christ at an early age and was “confirmed” in a Lutheran Church as a teenager.

Chuck received a Congressional appointment to the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. Upon graduating with honors, he received his commission in the U.S. Air Force. When he left active duty, he had become Branch Chief of the Department of Guided Missiles at Lowry Air Force Base.

Chuck completed a Masters Degree in engineering at UCLA with additional post-graduate studies in applied mathematics, advanced statistics and information sciences. He earned a Ph.D. from Louisiana Baptist University in Biblical Studies in 1999.

His civilian career began as a systems engineer at TRW, followed by a Senior Analyst position in a “think tank” serving both the intelligence community and the Department of Defense.

Recruited by the Ford Motor Company into a Senior Management position, Chuck established the first international industrial computer network. Leaving Ford to start his own company, he founded a computer networking organization later acquired by Automatic Data Processing (NYSE) to become its Network Services Division.

He subsequently served as a consultant to the Board of Directors of Rockwell International for corporate acquisitions (which included Collins Radio, American Data Systems, and others); and has also participated in over 100 business ventures as a principal, strategic advisor, or turnaround specialist.

During the past 30 years, Chuck has served on the Board of Directors of over a dozen public companies, and was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of six of them.

Career Change:

As a result of a merger, Chuck became Chairman and major shareholder of a publicly owned development company, Phoenix Group International, whose main thrust was to establish a very large international joint business venture with the USSR to provide personal computers to their 143,000 public schools. When the USSR’s political power regime split up, this joint venture unraveled and failed.

Chuck was encouraged by his close friend Hal Lindsey (“Author of the Decade,” by the New York Times), to pursue his long‑time love of teaching the Bible on a full time basis. Chuck had spent over twenty-five years teaching the Word of God under Pastor Chuck Smith at Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa, California. During that time he had acquired a large following and over six million of his teaching tapes had been distributed worldwide. Koinonia House was soon formed, with the mission to encourage people to seriously study the Bible as the inerrant Word of God.  In 1992 this ministry was relocated to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and in 2010 an additional ministry was established at The River Lodge in New Zealand.

Koinonia House publishes the monthly Personal UPDATE, which highlights the Biblical relevance of current events, to subscribers worldwide and is available in both print and digital editions. K-House also puts out a weekly online eNews, which reaches over 100,000 subscribers worldwide.

Koinonia House has established the leading Christian presence on the Internet through its website, www.khouse.org. This site also links to the Blue Letter Bible, a comprehensive study resource, co-developed by K-House, featuring an entire hypertexted Bible—with Hebrew and Greek—provided free of charge. Koinonia House products include topical studies and verse-by-verse Bible commentaries in DVD, AudioCD, video and audio download, complete with notes, and both printed and electronic books.

Koinonia House also produces the 66/40 radio broadcast, Chuck’s daily verse-by-verse teaching program. This program is carried on stations overseas as well as in the United States, both in 30-minute and 60-minute formats.

Koinonia Institute, a “think tank for thinking Christians,” has emerged from the extensive following of “K-House” to provide extensive on-line courses on the Internet, and to exploit the network of graduate students, and others, who monitor the strategic trends impacting our lives and ministries. It can be explored on koinoniainstitute.org

Chuck is an author of over one hundred publications (in both print and electronic formats), including Prophecy 20/20Learn the Bible in 24 HoursCosmic Codes, and Alien Encounters (an exposition on Genesis 6).

Chuck met his wife Nancy while at the Naval Academy. They have four grown children and Nancy has her own ministry, called The King’s High Way which also supports a local outreach known as King’s Place.

Xavier Ries:

“Simple Truths”

Xavier Ries is the Pastor of Calvary Chapel of Pasadena in California and has been for nearly thirty years, which began from a home Bible study of three people in the city of Alhambra, five miles south of Pasadena.

The church grew and developed in the city of Alhambra for about six and a half years as a tent ministry, renting facilities and going from place to place. Then the Lord opened the door to buy the building in the city of Pasadena, which was an unexpected redirection, yet very directed by the hand of God then and recognized more so now through the years.

In the last twenty-nine years God has developed and matured the body at Pasadena to reach out to the city, as well as the surrounding communities with the gospel, to missions in Mexico, Central and South America, Spain and other places.

Radio has also been used to reach the lost and to educate the saints, throughout the years, both in the U.S. and Latin America.

Pastor Xavier was born-again in July of 1973 at the age of twenty-three and married the same year. He has been blessed to see God work in many different ways for the last thirty-five years by the grace of God.

The focus of ministry has been and still is, the exposition of the word of God, in order to set people free from being followers of man, by being able to examine the Scriptures for themselves like the Bereans, through good inductive Bible study.

“These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica,
in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.” – Acts 17:11

Skip Heitzig:

“The Connection”

Skip Heitzig is a native of southern California, and experienced the volatile days of the counter-culture in the late 60’s and early 70’s. Though raised in a religious home, Skip saw religion as a dead-end street with no answers. As a teenager, he got caught up in drugs and ventured into the occult. But God reached Skip one day in 1973 as he was watching a Billy Graham crusade on TV. The Gospel message penetrated his soul and he knelt and prayed to receive Christ.

Skip studied under Chuck Smith at Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa, California, until 1981. After he married Lenya, the couple moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he worked in the medical field of radiology. In 1982, Skip began a home Bible study which eventually grew into Calvary of Albuquerque. In1988 and 1989, Calvary of Albuquerque was considered the fastest growing church in America. Today, Calvary of Albuquerque ministers to over 14,000 people every weekend. Several other churches have spun off from Calvary of Albuquerque, including churches in Arizona, Colorado, and other parts of New Mexico.

Skip reaches out to thousands across the nation and throughout the world through his multi-media ministry, including a nationwide half-hour radio program, The Connection.

Skip also helps equip others for living according to God’s principles through his writings. Some of his recent books include The Daily God Book, Church? Who Needs It and How to Study the Bible and Enjoy It (revised). He also publishes over two dozen booklets in the Lifestyle Series, covering aspects of Christian living.

Skip holds a B.A., M.A. and Doctor of Divinity, and is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Trinity Southwest University. He has been awarded a doctor honoris causa from GFA Biblical Seminary. He currently serves on several Boards of Directors, including Samaritan’s Purse.

Son Nathan and daughter-in-law Janaé made Skip and Lenya the proud grandparents of Seth Nathaniel and Kaydence Joy.
